Does Massage Help Remove Lactic Acid?

A study at the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls compared the effects of massage, passive recovery, and mild bicycle riding (about 40% of max oxygen uptake) on lactate metabolism after an exhaustive treadmill run. The subjects were trained runners who performed a maximal treadmill run to elevate the level of blood lactate and induce exhaustion after 4-6 minutes. I would love to come swim anytime. That is one area always after I do an event I forget about! Haven't swam since the Echo tri. So sad. I was doing so good. Just so much on my plate. Just started working at Magleby's as the purchasing agent so I work 2 part time jobs. Crazy !!!! But AM always works for me...Tues/Thur I run at 6:30 with someone other than that I am fairly flexible.
